We love to celebrate all kinds of special days!
We encourage the celebration of special days and public holidays. Heritage Day, Women’s Day, Jewish Holidays, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Graduation Concert, Grandparent’s Day, Special Person’s Day—all offer an opportunity to bring awareness, gratitude, and acknowledgement to the world and those we share it with.
Special events also include visits from outside facilitators to educate the children around specific themes. Our favorites include farming, reptiles, cooking, and healthy eating.
Proudly Jewish
Mina Lopato embraces an open, inclusive and universalist approach to Judaism.
We celebrate the Jewish Sabbath every week by forming our Shabbat Rings, lighting candles, and saying our blessings (brachot), and then we enjoy challah and other Shabbat treats. Each child is encouraged to give a charitable gift (tzedakah) and a flower from their garden to add to our beautiful Shabbat table.
We also celebrate all of the major Jewish festivals.
Our Jewish Education programme is run by Adina Roth a Jewish Education Specialist and clinical psychologist. Her unique programme welcomes, encourages, and respects every child in their own educational and spiritual journey. This approach provides a safe place for all to deepen and explore their respective religions and beliefs in a way that is age-appropriate and symbiotic.
